"High pressure is moving in today and clearing is in your forecast. It will be gusty and cold Saturday with winds form the northwest gusting up to 45 mph at times and air temperatures in the teens. We will see a clear sky tonight and cold overnight lows near 10. Sunday will have lots of morning sunshine then increasing clouds late in the day. Clouds thicken Sunday night and snow is expected to develop overnight into Monday morning. Minor early morning accumulations may make for a slow morning commute with periods of heavier snow reducing visibilities in addition to making roads slippery. The snow should wind down for Monday night followed by an arctic blast that could bring record lows for Tuesday morning. Snow totals are tricky as of this morning with the chance to mix with sleet and rain. The track will determine whether warmer air can sneak in or whether we remain all snow. In this all-snow solution, he have the potential to see 8-12" of snow. In the warmer/ mixing solution, totals will be closer to 2" along the coast to 4-6" for Providence and near 8-12" northern RI/ northern Bristol County Mass. Stay tuned...
